Novara beaten 3-0: Milan stay perfect
Milan break the Novara taboo. At the Opiquad Arena, Numia Vero Volley Milano beat Igor Gorgonzola Novara 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-15) on matchday three of LVF A1 Fineco, winning against the Piedmont side for the first time in six matches and 1,070 days.
A one-sided affair, save for a shaky first half of the opening set: then the home block took over, with four blocks late in the set, and Novara were held to 33% in attack. Milan finished with 12 blocks and 52% in attack.
MVP Anna Danesi with 9 points and 6 blocks; in attack Egonu scored 18, Lanier 13 and Piva 11. Novara's Tolok finished on 10. The win takes Numia to 9 points, level with Conegliano at the top.
The match was the first seasonal fixture of 2GETHER2, the project that brings Numia's home games to the Opiquad Arena in Monza.
